Consultant, Ethical Leadership Consultants

The Ethical Leadership Consultants is a team of Paul College students, and one professor, who developed something truly incredible through an independent study in the Spring of 2019.

Founded on research by Dr. Daniel Goleman, Dr. Brene Brown, and Dr. Betty Woodman, ELC devised a six-step module for organizations looking to build authentic leadership, emotional intelligence, allyship/ belonging, and diversity in the workplace through improvisation.

Following the success of the team's findings and developed module, ELC has presented to and hosted workshops for businesses including Bangor Savings Bank, QA Cafe, and New Hampshire Driver's Education.

Employer Relations Intern, UNH Career and Professional Success

As an Employer Relations Intern, I worked with the CaPS team on various initiatives throughout the year. I primarily conducted research on potential employers to ensure that their business model aligned with our policies, and maintained ample communication with different employers on specific job postings.

This opportunity also introduced me to Salesforce, where I was better able to track employer relationships and draw data from past experiences to determine the best course of action.

I often used attributes of Microsoft Excel to run queries and consolidate employer data to answer questions posed by directors, specifically in relation to the biannual Career Fairs.

Student Body President, University of New Hampshire

As Student Body President, I represented the undergraduate students in all matters of the University. Our team worked throughout the year to formulate policy, participate in shared governance, appoint students to university committees, communicate with other student leaders within the University System of New Hampshire, and autonomously operate the Student Activity Fee under the Student Activity Fee Committee.

Within this position, I was blessed with a strategic advantage- my love for creative solving and offering recommendations to strengthen organizations and their business processes, specifically within the realm of consumer (student) perception and engagement. These skills have enabled me to work with departments on finding ways to better engage with students in an effective manner, as well as develop plans that are more equipped to student needs and desires. Additionally, I have been able to put my knowledge of organizational behavior to use while examining student retention and recruitment practices. Findings from a study conducted in my Behavior in Organizations have been directly relayed to administration and implemented into University processes to increase student success and wellbeing, one of the University President's Four Strategic Priorities.

Throughout the duration of our campaign, my Vice President and I met with numerous student organizations and engaged in creative and influential marketing tactics which resulted in the election reaching the record highest level of engagement (just under 30% of the student population), and our campaign receiving the strongest student mandate in university history through its vote count and endorsements from student organizations (16).

COVID-19 CRISIS MANAGEMENT

Worked in collaboration with UNH Provost and Faculty Senate leadership to assess, advise, and implement a grading policy conducive to UNH's response to COVID-19.

Certified student opinion using a data-driven approach; presented survey findings and visualizations to university leadership in form of a policy recommendation.

Led the undergraduate student body in an effort to safeguard student privacy rights during remote learning.

Vice President- Finance, Kappa Delta Sorority

I developed an interest in finance and accounting through my leadership position as Vice President- Finance of my sorority. While overseeing the financial responsibility for a chapter composed of nearly 200 women, I was able to redesign record processes detailing revenues, expenses, and all other relevant accounts, which in turn streamlined the monthly financial reports I analyzed through various financial sheets, audited, and ultimately submitted to the national organization. Through this position, I continually orchestrated deposits and accounts into the chapter billing system.

This position also gave me the ability to sit as a member of our House Corporation, where I used my interpersonal skills to reformulate a stronger relationship between the Alpha Sigma House Corporation and the chapter. In doing so, I worked with different stakeholders to compose a two-year solution designed to rectify an outstanding housing deficit.
